Duck eggs are larger than chicken eggs. They also contain higher protein and fat content than chicken eggs. They contain omega-3 fatty acids and most of the vitamins, including B complex vitamins. They also contain minerals like selenium, magnesium, iron, copper, and manganese. Thus, eggs are a powerhouse of many nutrients.

A duck egg has more nutritional value compared to a chicken egg. However, the cholesterol level in duck eggs is very high; thus, no more than one egg should be consumed daily. Therefore, chicken eggs are suggested for consumption daily, whereas duck eggs can be consumed once or twice weekly. Besides, selenium, choline, iron, vitamin B-12, and vitamin D levels are also higher, making it a good source of micronutrients.

Duck eggs are larger than chicken eggs, and both are rich in protein, fat, vitamins, and minerals that help improve health. Both duck and chicken eggs have the same amount of vitamin D content in them. Sometimes, when eggs get rotten, they may lead to foodborne illnesses and cause diarrhea, vomiting, stomach cramps, nausea, etc. Whether a duck egg or a chicken egg, one must consider allergies, personal taste, price, and availability. Both are equally good for health.
